Mikah loves guava and there happens to be a guava tree beside our house right now... So today she was out there trying to get some down and our yard guy, Pak Rumias, came by and helped her get some good ones. He showed us how to tell which ones are good and which ones aren't. He even climbed the tree, barefoot, to get at some good ones. What a guy! Pak Rumias has experienced a lot in the past years. A few years ago his wife died and he was distraught. Then his wife's family threatened to kill him because they blamed him so he was living a life of fear. Coming to work for the family that lives in this house and the family next door became a sanctuary for him. He really does a great job keeping the yard neat and tidy and looking beautiful.
