This was the scene at our house this evening as we hosted a welcome/good-bye/birthday pizza party. The welcome was for the new Dutch family, the VanDijk's, with their four kids that just arrived here a week ago. Pieter is a pilot and they will be moving to Papua as well once they are done language training in about a year. We, of course, are leaving but another family with MAF from New Zealand is moving to Medan at about the same time we are leaving. It was the birthday of one of the other MAF wives today as well. So instead of having three separate parties, we were very frugal and had one party. As you can see, everyone enjoyed their cake and ice cream...

We are now down to two weeks before departure!! :-)
